FEBRUARY 13, 2011 MONTHLY MEETING

Pledge of Allegiance: Lead by Ernie Nettles

Guest: Mr. Bill White of Sulphur, LA.

New Members: Mr. Bill White asked to become a new member of the club. Mike Young made a motion to waive the two meeting rule of the by-laws and accept Mr. White as a new member. Mike Rowe seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Mike Rowe made a motion to waive the two meeting rule of the by-laws and accept Mr. Mark Spies as a new member. Greg Nettles seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Minutes of last Meeting: Greg Nettles made a motion to accept minutes of last meeting. Mike Pascal made a second to the motion. Motion passed unanimously.

Reports:

  • Treasurer’s Report given by Mike Rowe. Greg Nettles made a motion to accept the report as presented. Mike Pascale made a second to the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
  • Safety Report. No Report given for this month.
  • Maintenance Report: Mr. Pat reported that it would be too costly to recover the runway. Discussion in the meeting produced to fill in the cracks and dress up the runway. A work day for February 26, 2010 will be called for workers to use the above method on a section of runway to see if the patching method works. Time to meet will be announced via email.
  • Coke Report: No report for the month.

　

　

Old Business:

Discussion lead by Lynn, that attendance is being advertised and to expect guests from out of the country to attend. Mr. Bo has spoken to the Tee Shirt vendor and he has committed to attend. Anyone who is interested in helping for the event is asked to contact Mr. Bo, Lynn or Kirk.

Danny reported that he now has his certificate and would like to set the dates of October 28, 29, & 30, 2011 for WARBIRDS. All three days will be sanctioned.

Mike Rowe urges all members who have not renewed their AMA for 2011 to please do so and give him a copy of your card when done.

　 A reminder from the Treasure… Dues are due now. If you have not paid by the end of this month according to by-laws you fall out of membership. In doing so you may have to reapply as a new member. So get those dues in!
